Ann and Sophie work as a team several days a week and patient feedback has been astounding. Patients truly feel listened to and thoroughly evaluated and treated as an individual.
Sophie received a full athletic college basketball scholarship to Huntington University (ironically Ann’s childhood hometown). After 2 years she was asked to try out for the Team Canada Women’s Basketball program for representation in the Barcelona Olympics. Unfortunately, her ACL injury sidelined these dreams and she went on to pursue certifications in Personal Training and Stott’s Pilates. Sophie opened her private Pilates and training studio while she and her husband raised their daughters on an all sports lake. She is an accomplished slalom skier, mountain biker and downhill skier. Her daughters follow in their mother’s athletic prowess as runners, basketball players, wake boarders and snow boarders. It became apparent in her private business that clients were wanting more help with injury prevention and retraining strategies. This was the driving force for Sophie to seek additional education as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) . With the understanding that rehabilitative science is an ongoing process,
It was inevitable when Ann met Sophie as a student in the WCC PTA program that a fast friendship began. “I just knew I had to work with Sophie”. We have an unprecedented 50 year combined career in the health care industry. Our love of such a variety of sports has allowed us to create an amazing evaluation and treatment design strategy that focuses on movement imbalance, muscular reeducation and hands on treatment techniques that allow our patients to pursue and reach goals they never thought possible. As we have moved into our 50’s we realize how important correct training and form are in keeping our bodies fit.
If you have had less than stellar PT in the past we really would love the opportunity to “tag team” your treatment approach not only will you receive excellent treatment you will have a good time laughing as we go.
