Katie always knew she wanted to work in physical therapy. She started her journey at Grand Valley State University where she got her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 2006. Later, Katie joined the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Washtenaw Community College where she was challenged by and gained experience from excellent teachers and clinical instructors. She graduated in 2012 from WCC as a PTA.
Katie collaborates with her co-workers to provide the best therapy for each patient, and is eager to learn and expand her knowledge. She is always interested in finding the root cause of a person’s condition and provides the finest care possible to heal the whole person. She is talented in multiple manual therapies including soft tissue massage, trigger point release, and myofascial release. Katie is also skilled in therapeutic exercise, bringing you strength and conditioning to treat your present injuries and prevent further injuries. Katie shares: “the team members at Healing Hands Physical Therapy complement each other with our individual talents and we are honored to be a part of your healing process.”
