Ann’s decided to pursue higher education as a Physical Therapist after many years of being a patient in Physical Therapy associated with seven knee surgeries and in later years, back surgery brought on by extensive tri-athlete training. Aside from the degree program in Physical therapy she successfully completed a 2.5 year APTA credential post-graduate professional fellowship program through the manual therapy institute and has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) since 2006. In addition, Ann has been certified in Cervical Thoracic Lumbar Spinal Manipulation and both upper and lower body Dry Needling through the Spinal Manipulation Institute. She has been teaching Orthopedic and Soft tissue management for over eight years in the Washtenaw Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Ann and her husband own a private horse farm where she actively pursues her passion for Dressage, having competed up to 4th level. She has a special interest in helping the equestrian rider develop a more balanced body and proprioceptive awareness to aid in the symmetry and balance it takes to be a rider. Ann continues to swim, cycle and strength train on a daily basis. She uses her strong biomechanical background and extensive specialized credentialing to help patients alleviate pain, and returns her patients to the highest level of function possible.
